In math we learned how to measure angles protractors. After lots of practice we drew our names with a ruler, named the angles and measured one angle per letter in the name. We love angles!
We had a 4th grade Sidman Project Sharing today. Students set up their project and their iPads, cued up with the screencasts (using Explain Everything) of their project. Then they walked around with headphones and learned about each other's subjects and projects. The students spent almost an hour in silence reading and viewing each other's work. Afterward Safiya said, "Everybody worked so hard on theirs and it turned out to be awesome!"
Principal Watkins had a surprise for us after recess!
Lastly, some of our amazing parent volunteers came in so we could express our gratitude for how hard they worked to help make the Talent Show a smashing success. Thank you, Suzanne, Lauren, Jen, Holley, Anna, Kristi, Lee and everyone else who helped these 4th graders learn to put on a show and raise money to go to Islandwood next year.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
